Welcome

The call W2LV was adopted in March 1999 as the club call of the Sussex County Amateur Radio Club, Inc. and is dedicated to the memory of its former member and radio pioneer, the late Robert M. Morris 1902 -1997.

The Sussex County Amateur Radio Club is dedicated to Education, Public Service and the advancement of amateur radio.

SCARC meetings are held every third Friday of the month (except for July and August) at 8:00pm at the Sussex County Public Safety Training Academy, 114 Morris Turnpike, Newton, NJ. It’s the old fire academy across the street from the main branch of the Sussex County Library.

*** The SCARC VHF Contest Mountain Toppers were 5th place in the country for last Septembers VHF Contest. Congratulations to all those who participated.

*** Speaking of the VHF Contest we will be looking for contacts of any kind from the membership and non-membership alike during the June VHF contest on 52.525, 146.580, 223.500 and 446.000 FM. We will be on SSB/CW on all these bands including our new band, 1296MHz.

*** PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THE BELOW DATES.

*** Well did we had a very good June 2014. Both the June VHF Contest and the Field Day results are in. We were 7th in the country for VHF and third in the country (YES 3rd place!) in the country for Field Day in our category. We were only 600 points behind 2nd place but 1800 points ahead of 4th place. Overall for all classes we were 54 out of 2686 official entries. This is a pleasant surprise as it shows how good SCARC really is.
