SCARC Announcements - ..... Updated 05/16/12
* SCARC club meeting is this Friday starting at 8:00pm at the Legion. If you're taking a VE Exam, please arrive at 7:30pm. During the meeting, Dennis WA2UAH will be demonstrationg WriteLog, our club logging program. Also Nick KC2VWI and Rob KC2WCQ will be showing off their new military vehicle which should be a real treat. The club storage trailer might also make an appearence.
* HELP! We are coming up short on radios and operators for Field Day. We need some people to step up and be band captains. We are short two bands so we need someone to volunteer their station(s) for FD. We also need operators, both CW and SSB since we will be running a 4A operation this year. Please contact N2HMM if you want to volunteer.
* The VHF Contest is just a few weeks away. I am asking everyone in the club who is not on the mountain top to work us on 146.58, 223.50 and 446.00 FM if you have a capable rig. What I'm proposing is on Sunday June 10th at the top of every hour (and only at the top of the hour to 10 minutes past the hour) starting at 1pm local time and going until 5pm local time please try to work us. Unless you're out of town there should be no reason why every SCARC member shouldn't work us on at least one of the FM frequencies I just mentioned.
* Although 6M conditions weren't very good last Saturday, we did manage to make 52 QSO's and work 15 Grid Squares. Scores will be released soon. Thanks to all that came out to support SCARC.
* The May Newsletter has been posted and can be found on this website under "Newsletters".
