SCARC Announcements - Watch for Continuous Updates ..... Updated 05/18/13

***

*** The June VHF Contest is just three weeks away. A small crew will head up to the Normanoch Fire Tower on June 6th to setup tests and the kitchen area. Friday June 7th the antennas, towers and radios get installed. Saturday June 8th is final preparations and the contest starts at 2PM local time and ends June 9th at 11PM local time. All club members are welcome to come up but we can not provide taxi service. The fire road to the top of the mountain requires a four wheel drive vehicle. We are also asking EVERY club member to work us on 146.58, 223.50 and 446.00 FM. We will listen at the top of every hour all Sunday afternoon. Please support your club if you can't come up. VHF Contest pictures are on this website. ***

*** We have found a location for our Field Day which is June 21st, 22nd and 23rd. The location is Lion Technology 21 Sunset Inn Rd, Lafayette Township, NJ. It's at the intersection of Rt. 15 and Rt. 94 just below Sunrise House. It's a good location but it is a new location for us so we're going to have to do some planning ahead of time. Stay tuned.

*** WA2UAH and W2FDB has changed the Club Calendar structure so it easier to read. There is a drop down tab now; one for club events only and one for all other operating events.

*** There is also a drop down tab below our Hamfest tab for area Hamfests. Here is a short cut. http://www.scarcnj.org/hamfest/areahamfests.php.
